CALL for ENTRIES
DEADLINE:  MARCH 15, 2000


Organized in 1996, The NOT STILL ART Festival gives artists working in non-narrative and abstract electronic motion imaging, in conjunction with music/sound design, a forum dedicated to their work.


Submission Guidelines:
-  $15. application fee, payable to NSA.  Work from outside the US must be paid with a Certified Check in US dollars.
-  Format:  S-VHS, Hi8 or 3/4" tapes; NTSC.
- Length: approximately 3 - 8 minutes.   Longer programs are welcome, but because as much work as possible is screened, the festival reserves the right to screen an excerpt of your program.
- Label tape with title, credits and program length.
- Include a short description of the programs(s) and any other materials that promote your program: a photo or gif89a file of a screen image is appreciated.
- No restriction to the number of programs submitted or the date of creation.
- Send self-addressed stamped post card for confirmation of tape arrival.
- All tapes will be retained for the NSA archives.

The Not Still Art Festival is produced by artists for artists.  It is a project of the New York Foundation for the Arts.  It is funded with a Presentation Funds Grant from the Experimental Television Center , with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.  The NSA Fest 2000 is sponnsored by ImprovArt.com and Promote Art Works, Inc.  The Not Still Art Festival receives promotional support from Media Alliance at WNET/Thirteen, FIVF/AIVF and the Bay Area Video Coalition.

The Not Still Art Festival screening will tour, be broadcast, and be made available as a video cassette/disc/electronic file.  All net proceeds from the dissemination of the screening will be shared equally among the participating artists. Please  indicate your agreement to these  activities by signing this application .

1.)   Not Still Art (NSA) shall have the right to use my name, image, biography, and still images and/or music/video clips of my program(s) on the NSA Website.

2.)   Not Still Art shall have the non-exclusive right to disseminate my program, in whole or in part, on the condition that any net proceeds from sales or licenses will be prorated amongst the participating artists.

3.)  I have the rights to all images, sound and music on my program, and I hold  Not Still Art  harmless from any claims by third parties.  Synchronization and Mechanical Licenses are hereby issued to NSA by the music publisher(s), who accept standard royalty rates for use of their compositions.
